SOMEWHERE

SEPTEMBER 23, 2014

We came together.

Mountains away

like a fading mirage,

unrealistic to belief.

Tiny drawings, less aggressive

and more manageable.

But we came together, and

lay in the field, with crimson and red tides steaming  off our insignificance.

There was more to the world.

Patriotism brimming with aesthetic.

Yet here I was, in a land, with you.

the truth bending every other truth.

Distances away, we see nothing.

The firmness, held bundles of

limitless poppies, accommodating the field.

I once believed home was everything.
