I’LL CARRY YOU

The carrying is the important part.

When the bundle drags,

It grows feet, and limps,

and it inflates like an exhale trapped in a balloon.

Don’t forget to keep carrying.

and when the bundle cries,

when moves are  violent or quiet,

you must grip it tight.

You grip it as tight as an ocean in a container.

When it  peaks and

glowers at the passing people,

your patience must be defiant and resistant.

And when it gets heavier,

when it slips, and smashes to the ground,

you must slip and smash with it.
